When you get a new computer or reinstall your system, you don't have to set up your list of messengers, folders and Centrio's look from scratch — cloud sync carries all of it over automatically once you sign into the same account. Here's exactly what transfers, and what you'll need to re-enter for security reasons.
Moving in 5 steps
1. Sign into your account on the old computer. If you haven't signed into your Centrio cloud account yet, do it before the move — your settings and messenger list sync to the cloud automatically once you're signed in.
2. Wait for sync to finish. Sync happens in the background with every change — adding a messenger, a folder, or updating a setting. It usually takes a few seconds with an active internet connection.
3. Install Centrio on the new computer. Download and install the app the same way you did on the first device — from the official site, using the signed installer.
4. Sign into the same account. On first launch, choose to sign into your account and enter the same credentials — your list of messengers, folders and settings will pull in automatically.
5. Sign into each messenger again. Your list of tabs transfers, but the sessions themselves (being signed into Telegram, WhatsApp and other services) don't — for security reasons, each service needs to be signed into again on the new device, just like on a first install.
What syncs and what doesn't
Syncs: your list of connected messengers and their order, folders and workspaces (Pro), theme and accent color, notification and sound settings, VPN settings (excluding the password, which is stored locally only).
Doesn't sync: the actual sign-in sessions for your messengers — those need to be authorized again; message history, which lives with the messenger itself, not with Centrio; and your VPN proxy password, which for security reasons stays only on the device where it was entered.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Pro subscription to sync between devices? Cloud sync of settings is a Pro feature. On the new device, check that you're signed into the same account and that your plan is active.
What if my list of messengers doesn't show up after the move? Check that you signed into the exact same cloud account you used on the old device, and that the old computer had time to sync — it needed an active internet connection at the moment of the last change to your list.
Can I use Centrio on two computers at the same time? Test working on multiple devices with one account and a suitable plan. Changes sync whenever a connection is available; that doesn't guarantee simultaneous edits merge instantly.
Don't wipe the old computer before checking
After signing in on the new device, check the number of services, their names and folders. Then sign into each messenger and send a test message. Workspace settings and signing into the services themselves transfer through different mechanisms.
Keep downloads, local files and any data outside of sync stored separately. Don't manually copy session folders between OS user accounts — they can contain sensitive data and be tied to a specific device.
Once everything checks out, close your old sessions through each messenger's own tools and prepare the old device for handover according to your organization's policy.
