Data worth telling apart
A messenger session is the data that keeps you signed in after logging in. In Centrio, every service you add uses its own persistent storage. That's what keeps a personal and a work account independent of each other. Your Centrio account settings, a Telegram session, and a request sent to an AI provider are different kinds of data that travel different routes.
Don't equate local storage with encrypting every file or backing up your conversations. The app displays the service's web interface; message history availability, sign-in methods, and message encryption are all determined by the messenger itself.
The limits of isolation and trust
Cookie separation prevents ordinary session bleed between tabs. It doesn't create a separate secured computer for each account, and it doesn't protect against malware that already has access to your OS. A general app crash can also affect several tabs at once.
Electron recommends keeping the runtime updated, restricting permissions, and isolating web content. Those are requirements for how an app is implemented, not a safety guarantee for every product built on Electron. Judge Centrio together with its privacy policy and the settings of whatever features you actually turn on.
What to check before signing into a work account
- Download the current build from Centrio's official download page. Check the publisher and the digital signature details of that specific file; a signature by itself isn't a code audit.
- Verify the official address of the web service before scanning a QR code. Don't confirm an unfamiliar session from a link someone else sent you.
- Grant camera and microphone access only for the task that needs it. Ordinary text messaging doesn't need standing access to either.
- Turn on two-factor verification in the messenger itself, and review the device list after your first sign-in.
- For a work account, confirm your company's policy — which client is allowed, whether cloud AI can be used, and how downloaded attachments should be stored.
PIN codes, notifications and a lost computer
A PIN locks Centrio's interface against casual viewing. OS-level screen lock, a separate user account, and disk encryption solve different problems. Check whether the system still shows message text in a notification while the app window is locked.
If a device is lost, open the messenger's active-devices settings from a trusted phone and end the relevant session. If you suspect a compromise, change the necessary passwords and review your recovery options. Deleting the app's shortcut does not revoke its sessions.
Check extra features separately
When you send text to the AI assistant, factor in the mode and provider you've selected — the context you send may be processed outside the messenger itself. A VPN provider and cloud sync each add their own separate party to the data flow. Before sending client conversations through either, confirm your organization allows it.

Any app that renders a web page sits inside a trust boundary. Session isolation by itself doesn't prove the displayed content can't be accessed. What actually happens depends on the implementation and which features are enabled.
Does a VPN protect against account theft?
A VPN changes your network route. It doesn't remove the risk of phishing, a compromised device, or confirming someone else's QR code.
